This was Dominic's first "vacation" and our first "camping" trip all together. We spent the day at the Illinois Train Museum in Union, ILwhere we saw SO MANY trains!!! Mom and Dad could have spent more time reading about the history of these locomotives, but quick little feet kept us moving along. The boys loved them and we picked a nice warm day for it. Afterwards, we traveled only a few minutes to the KOA where we spent overnight camping. We had a 1 room cabin with bunk beds and a double. Anthony LOVED the bunk bed....Dominic probably would have rather been back home in his crib! We went swimming and played at the park. Daddy grilled fish and we made a fire. Anthony tried roasted marshmallows for the first time. After his 1st one, we asked him if he wanted another. "No thanks!" was his answer. I guess roasted sugar isn't all that great after all. Both boys got a kick out of the big RV's and campers. "Whoa" and "Wow" were the words we heard from Dommy when we'd see one. Overall, a successful trip!
